As Seattle continue to step out of the shadow of the 90’s grunge music fantastic bands are forming on the Indie scene.  Motopony is a great example of this.  They are bit grittier than most bands that you may be used to but they balance the sound nicely with a happy honky tonk  piano.  Their track “I Am My Body” will help you get through those Monday blues.

Playlist for 11/5/2011

The London Souls have an interesting history.  Folk lore has it that before they actually played their first gig, they only practiced via cell phone.  If that is true this trio has some amazing talent, let alone tolerance for dropped calls in NYC.  Their first album came out in July and they have been playing around New York in pretty heavy rotation.  Enjoy the track and check out the rest of their self titled album since it ranges through a few different genres.
